During the weekend of 12th/13th April 2014, the Avon Valley Railway held its second diesel gala with several visting locomotives in attendance. Two visting locomotives are seen arriving at Bitton Station under glorious Spring sunshine. Leading the formation is FGW Class 08 pilot, No. 08822 'John' (from Bristol St Philips Marsh HSTD) with D3668 pilot (Class 09 No. 09004 from the Swindon and Cricklade railway) tucked inside on 13th April 2014.
