The late afternoon sunshine illuminates 'Colas' Class 66/8 No. 66846 as it approaches Westerleigh Junction atop 6V62, 11:12 Tilbury Riverside-Llanwern steel working on 8th March 2014. Directly above the sixth wagon, a redundant signal gantry can be seen. This had been erected as part of a plan to install bi-directional signalling between Chipping Sodbury and Bristol Parkway, though such a plan was not implemented. However, with plans to re-signal this area within the next few years, such a scheme May well be forthcoming.
