March MPD (31B) on 7th April 1969 with Brush Type 4 No. D1540 and Brush Type 2 No. D5689 stabled between duties, together with an impressive line up of diesel shunters. The former was new from Loughborough in September 1963 and initially allocated to Sheffield Darnall (41A). It became Class 47 No. 47013 under TOPS, was withdrawn in February 1987 and cut up by CF Booth at Doncaster Works during September 1988. The Type 2 was new from Loughborough in March 1961 and also went to Darnall MPD. It became Class 31 No. 31261 under TOPS, was withdrawn in January 1987 and cut up at Stratford MPD during November 1990.
