Stanier Class 8F 2-8-0 No. 48077 in the yard at Lostock Hall MPD on 8th September 1967. The loco was new from Vulcan Foundry as War Department No. 70611 in December 1936, Works Number 4754. It was absorbed into BR stock in December 1949 and allocated to Crewe South MPD. Withdrawal came during March 1968 from Lostock Hall.
