Maroon-liveried 'Western' Class diesel hydraulic No. D1016 'Western Gladiator' at Gloucester Horton Road MPD on 7th September 1969. New from Swindon Works in February 1963 and first allocated to Cardiff Canton, it was withdrawn from Laira in December 1975 and destryed at it's birthplace during August 1977.
