The ELR Diesel Gala over the weekend of March 6 - 7 saw the expected pairing of Class 37s No. 37109 + 37418 cancelled when 37418 failed prior to the event. In a hasty re-arrangement the double-headed working was retained by using Class 33/1 D6525 / 33109 Captain Bill Smith RN seen being led out of Ramsbottom on March 6 by No. 37109 as they ease the 09:20 Bury - Rawtenstall service over the level crossing.
