The scene of dereliction at Lostock Hall MPD on 11th August 1968. Stanier Class 8F No. 48763 and Stanier Class 5MT No. 45149 are among many other withdrawn locomotives awaiting their fate. The shed had closed the previous weekend, on Sunday 4th August.
