Since the end of Class 37 haulage on the Rhymney line from Cardiff some 6 years ago, the infrastructure at the northern terminus has been altered. Gone are the remains of the platform to which the old steam shed was attached and the remaining stabling sidings have been simplified to suit current operations. This view taken on a cloudy 27th June 2012 at Rhymney shows ATW Class 150 No. 150260 awaiting departure with the 15:25 to Cardiff Central; to the right may be seen the stabling sidings.
