On 24th August 2011, EWS-liveried Class 66 numbered No. 66127 manfully lifts its rake of HTAs on the last 1/2 mile into the sidings at Cwmbargoed for loading with coal for use at Aberthaw power station. The photographer is stood next to the site of the passenger station (closed June 1964) which is situated at a height above 1200 feet above sea level and is bleak all year round and was probably not a popular choice for Great Western Railway staff on promotion!.
