It is difficult to believe that 50-years ago this was the route of the famous 'Pines Express' from Manchester to Bournemouth, now just a short, single-line stub from Yate to the oil terminal at Westerleigh. This image taken on 11th August 2011 shows No. 60015 working 6B13, with loaded tankers from Robeston (near Milford Haven) destined for Westerleigh Oil Terminal passes the eponymous village of Westerleigh.
