Freshford is a few miles south of Bath Spa on the line to Westbury, the village gives the appearance of being very wealthy; situated on a narrow lane is Freshford station with a car park that is full with about 8 vehicles. On 3rd August 2011 a First Great Western Class 153, numbered No. 153361 and an Arriva Trains Wales Class 150 numbered 150230 slow on the approach to the station while working the 14.25 Filton Abbey Wood to Weymouth.
