'The Cathedrals Express' ran on 1st March 2011 from London Victoria to Cardiff Central to celebrate St David's Day. Before returning the excursion to London the opportunity was taken to turn the locomotive by utilising a very elongated triangle that went as far west as Cadoxton, located on Cardiff Valleys line to Barry island. This view taken at Cadoxton shows No. 44932 running tender-first into the spur that leads to Barry Docks, from where it reversed direction to run chimney first back to cardiff Canton to collect its coaches.
