With the derelict building of 'The Royal Hotel' at Bank Hall in view, Merseyrail Class 507 No. 507001 is photographed in its original 'British Rail' livery as it leaves the station on a Southport-Hunts Cross service on 16th July 2024. These fine units are in their final months of operation having been replaced by the new fleet of 'Stadler' built Class 777 DC EMUs.
