On 25th November 2023, LMS Stanier Class 5MT No. 44871 comes off the Roodee viaduct as it approaches its final destination of Chester with the Christmas Cheshireman rail tour from Bristol Temple Meads. At one stage running 63 minutes late it arrived only 5 mins after its scheduled time.
