The Welsh Highland Heritage Railway celebrates its 60th year of operation during 2024. Running for a mile from its main station at Porthmadog (across the road from the Cambrian Line station) via Gelerts Farm, where the workshops are based, onto to a platform which it shares with the Welsh Highland Railway. On 21st August 2024, after arriving earlier with the final train of the day, 1953 built Bagnall 0-4-2T 'GELERT' departs the Porthmadog terminus with an empty stock move back to Gelerts Farm.
