On 21st August 2024, Welsh Highland Railway NG/G16 2-6-2 and 2-6-2 Garratt No. 143 departs Porthmadog Harbour and crosses Pont Britannia before heading up the Welsh Highland line with the 10:15 'The Aberglaslyn' to Beddgelert. No. 143 was the last Garratt built by Beyer Peacock in Manchester before spending its working life in South Africa.
