Northern Class 156 No. 156443 departs Platform 2, under the 1870's Passenger Footbridge at Hexham Station, (which opened in 1835 and is one of the oldest railway stations in the world, built to link the lead mines of the North Pennines to the Tyne Docks at Blaydon), working the 08:50 Carlisle to Morpeth service on 14th September 2019, while Northern Class 158/0 No. 158792 stands at Platform 1, prior to working the 09:45 return service to Hexham.
