The Branch Line Society partnered with Drax to help celebrate 50 years of power generation and ran 'The Cooling Tower Choppers' Charter on 17th August 2024. Here, an immaculate GBRF Class 69 No. 69011 heads the first leg from Derby to Leicester of the 08:52 Derby to Belmont Down Yard BLS Charter as it approaches Humble Lane Bridge, Cossington. Upon arrival at Leicester, the second leg to Belmont Down Yard was headed by two LSL Class 20s with the Class 69 on the rear.
