The Severn Valley Railway held a gala event on 4th October 2018 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the introduction of the Class 50 fleet to BR service in 1968 with 11 class members attending the celebrations.
Prior to the event 50026 Indomitable suffered engine problems and could only appear as a display item as evidenced at Kidderminster station on 4th October.
