Preserved Class 86 No. 86259 'Peter Pan / Les Ross' passes Lancaster on the 'Down Fast', working the London Euston to Carnforth leg of the Railway Touring Company's 'Cumbrian Mountain Express' charter on 13th May 2017. From Carnforth, LMS 'Royal Scot' Class 4-6-0 No. 46115 'Scots Guardsman' took over for the trip to Carlisle, and back via the S&C to Preston, when No. 86259 then provided the motive power back to London Euston.
