On 4th February 2018, in a panorama at West Shed, Ripley, the tender from LMS Pacific No. 46233 â??Duchess of Sutherlandâ?? is awaiting a further coat of varnish as the loco is being repainted in Crimson Lake livery. The lining for both engine and tender is being carried out with 24ct gold leaf as was the practice when using Crimson Lake. The loco itself, as yet still in pieces, is in the adjacent road with, to the right, work being carried out by Heritage Boiler Services on the boiler for new build LMS Patriot Class No. 5551 â??The Unknown Warriorâ??.
