On 14th September 2024 at Derby and with a click and a clunk, East Midlands Railway Class 222 No. 222009 couples up to Class 222 No. 222005. The latter had just arrived on a London St Pancras to Sheffield service and the former had travelled ECS from Burton on Trent. The ten-coach ensemble then set off to the train's destination in Sheffield with both sets carrying passengers.
