During recent years the Class 56s have made something of a comeback to the mainline. Here at Bristol Temple Meads, two Class 56 'Grids' are seen powering a Kilmarnock-Plymouth Laira ECS movement conveying refurbished MK3 stock for GWR. At the helm is a very smart UK Rail Leasing Class 56 No. 56098 and the Class 56 Group's No. 56301 tucked inside on 12th December 2015.
