Passing the weed-infested site that was once the MPD, LMS Stanier Class 5MT No. 45281 accelerates out of Preston on 19th August 1967 with a London Euston - Blackpool North service. New from Armstrong Whitworth & Co Ltd in November 1936, it was withdrawn from Wigan Springs Branch in November 1967 and cut-up at Drapers of Hull in May 1968.
