Type 2 diesel electric No. D5345 waits to depart from Thurso on 17th September 1971 with a service to Inverness. The loco was new from the Birmingham Railway Carriage & Wagon Company in October 1959 and became Class 26 No. 26045 under TOPS. It was withdrawn in July 1983 and cut up by Vic Berry of Leicester during August 1987.
