During the SVR Diesel Gala on 8th May 1994, Class 50 diesel electric No. 50031 'Hood' departs from Kidderminster with a 'local' service for Arley. The loco was secured for preservation by The Fifty Fund in near operational condition following its withdrawal in August 1991 with only minor faults.
