The start of the Tour de France (TdF) cycle race in Yorkshire during July 2014 saw local train services being supplemented by loco-hauled workings and a dedicated Class 158 trainset re-painted into TdF colours.
On 6th July 2014 Class 47 No. 47810 Peter Bath MBE 1927 - 2006 forms the rear of a Blackburn - Bradford shuttle service worked in top n tail mode with Class 57/3 57308 County of Staffordshire.
