A dismal afternoon at Lawrence Hill plays host to DBS Class 59/2 No. 59202 'Alan Meadows Taylor MD Mendip Rail Ltd' which is seen rumbling through the station while working 6A83, 13:26 Avonmouth Bennets-West Drayton ARC. The service is traversing over what was known as the Up/Down Filton relief lines. The former Up/Down main lines (seen to the right of the photograph) were taken out of use and lifted during 1984. It is understood that the Up/Down Filton main lines are due to be brought back into use as part of the GWML electrification program on 2nd April 2014.
