In appalling Scottish weather, Type 2 diesel electric No. D5345 stands at Thurso on 17th September 1971 having just terminated with the 06.40 service from Inverness. New from the Birmingham Railway Carriage & Wagon Company in October 1959 and first allocated to Haymarket (64B), it became Class 26 No. 26045 under TOPS. Withdrawn in July 1983, it was cut up by Vic Berry of Leicester during August 1987.
