After many months of absence, the Chirk Kronospan-Teigngrace log service appears to have resumed running as depicted here at Patchway, with Colas Class 56/3 No. 56302 at the helm. Due to on-going repair work to the sea wall at Dawlish; the service was diagrammed to terminate at Exeter and operated as 6V54 05:40 Chirk-Exeter Riverside. At this point the service was running over two hours late, and it was to be further delayed due to the line beyond Bridgwater being closed due to flooding. This required the service to be diverted via Westbury and Castle Cary arriving at its destination some 192 minutes late on 5th March 2014.
