English Electric Type 4 No. D292 has the company of classmate No. 210 'Empress of Britain' at Crewe Diesel Depot on 7th September 1969. In the background are English Electric No. 424 and Brush Type 4 No. 1847. New from Vulcan Foundry in September 1960 and later becoming Class 40 No. 40092 under TOPS, it was withdrawn in December 1982 and cut up at Swindon Works during March 1986.
