Class 42 'Warship' Type 4 diesel hydraulic No. 827 'Kelly' at Exeter on 17th July 1971. New from Swindon Works in October 1960 and initially allocated to Laira, it had a service life of only 11 years and 2 months, being withdrawn in January 1972 and cut-up where it all began, during October of that year.
