Class 86/2 AL6 electric No. 86252 'The Liverpool Daily Post' waits to depart from London Euston on 13th April 1985 with a service to Liverpool Lime Street. I was fortunate to travel in the cab as far as Stafford. New from Doncaster Works as No. E3101 in August 1965, it was re-numbered under TOPS in 1974 and named on 30th November 1980. Withdrawn in May 2002, it was broken up by Easco at Immingham Railfreight Terminal during August of that year.
