Brush Type 4 diesel electric No. 1805 on the Up through line at Cardiff General on 2nd August 1971 with a freight train for Severn Tunnel Junction. New from Loughborough in January 1965 and allocated to Tinsley (41A), it became Class 47 No. 47324 under TOPS. It was named 'Glossidae' at Llandudno on 15th October 1988, a name it carried until withdrawl in July 1992. The loco was cut-up by CF Booth of Rotherham during January 1994. Cardiff General station was renamed Cardiff Central in May 1973.
