English Electric Class 50 No. 50027 'Lion' stabled at Gloucester Horton Road MPD on 17th May 1985. New from Vulcan Foundry as No. D427 in June 1968 and first allocated to the Stoke Division (D05), the loco was named at Laira on 6th April 1974. It was withdrawn in July 1991 and is now preserved on the Mid Hants Railway, following it's recent move from the NYMR.
