The view from the box. 14.36 on Monday 12th September 2011 sees No. 47727 in lovely afternoon sunlight hauling 6M57 the 13.14 Boston Docks to Washwood Heath loaded steel past Rectory Junction signal box on the eastern outskirts of Nottingham. The train has just crossed the River Trent, the viaduct over which it has travelled is just visible above the 47's rear cab. The concrete viaduct visible to the right of the rear wagons is that which carried the line round to Cotgrave colliery. The line over the colliery branch viaduct is still intact but the junction has been 'plain lined' and consequently is unlikely to ever see a train again.
