The train first comes into view as it rounds High Bank Scar visible above the loco, it then clings to the hill side to climb to this point, Ais Gill summit is just beyond the photographer. Its not called the 'long drag' without good reason as Class 66/8 No. 66845 with its heavily laden consist could be seen a good three to four minutes before it passed and, despite the loco clearly working hard, was moving little quicker than walking pace. The working is 6J37 1250 Carlisle - Chirk loaded logs and was observed on Tuesday 14th June 2011.
