Compass Railtours ran its first charter from Southport on May 2 when the train saw the first locomotive working for over 2 years. The train was operated in top n tail mode as Class 47 No. 47580 County of Essex curved into Southport with the ecs from Carnforth WCRC while Class 47 47270 Swift was attached at the rear.
