With a capacity of around 100cu/m of spoil, this dragline bucket is an integral part of one of the largest earth moving machines on the planet, the 6000 tonne Bucyrus Erie 2570w walking dragline. In connection with the repositioning of one of these machines from Farmersburg, IN to a newly recommissioned mine at Bear Run, IN. The Indiana Rail Road was contracted to move two spare buckets by rail. The 26 mile move took place on Saturday 3rd July and was conducted at a walking pace along with an entourage of support staff checking clearances and dismantling lineside equipment. Here the scale of this enormous load is apparent as it passes through Jasonville, Indiana.
