Weighing in at just 58 toms, the 97 year old Little River RR No.110 is billed as the "smallest Pacific locomotive in the world". Here she is seen on 24th July 2009 approaching Owosso, MI whilst running shuttle services in connection with Trainfest 2009. Built for the Little River Railroad in Townsend, TN in 1911. 110 ran in what is now the Great Smoky Mountain National Park as a logging engine until 1939. She was sold to the Smoky Mountain Railway and ran until the early 1950’s. until being abandoned at Shook’s Gap, TN in the early '60s. In 1972 110 was purchased and restored and in 1975 made its first run for the current Little River Railroad in Coldwater, MI. In 110’s 95 years, she has only been out of service for approximately 20 years.
