Rubbing noses at Gloucester Horton Road MPD on 30th November 1969 are English Electric Type 3 No. 6995 and 'Warship' Class diesel hydraulic No. D846 'Steadfast'. New in July 1965 and later becoming 37295 under TOPS in 1973 and then 37406 in October 1985, the Type 3 survived with Direct Rail Services until 2013 but was broken up by CF Booth of Rotherham during May of that year. It was named 'The Soltaire Society' from June 1986 until July 2001. The 'Warship' was withdrawn in May 1971 and cut up at Swindon Works during December of that year.
