AL6 Class 86/2 electric No. 86219 'Phoenix' runs through Crewe on 17th May 1985 with a London Euston - Glasgow Central service. The loco was new from English Electric, Vulcan Foundry, as No. E3196 in December 1965 and was renumbered under TOPS in 1973. It was withdrawn in May 1996 and spent a period in store at Glasgow, Apart from the locos destroyed in accidents, the loco was the first of its Class to be cut up, by Easco at Immingham Railfreight Terminal during May 2002.
