Class 87 AL7 electric No. 87004 runs through Crewe on 4th June 1976. New from Crewe Works in July 1973, it was named 'Britannia' on 3rd April 1978 and withdrawn in June 2005. The loco, still in BR blue livery and complete with 'Britannia' nameplates, was exported to Bulgaria and is still in service and has hauled the Bulgarian Royal Train.
