The Railway Touring Company operated a King's Cross to Holt and return railtour titled 'The Titfield Thunderbolt' to coincide with the gala of the same name on the North Norfolk Railway. The tour was hauled by Un-rebuilt Battle of Britain Class No. 34067 'Tangmere' as far as Norwich where GWR 9400 class 9466 (which had travelled light engine from Dereham, Mid-Norfolk Railway earlier in the day) worked the outward leg from Norwich to Holt. No. 9466 is seen leading 1Z68 King's Cross to Holt past Whitlingham Junction.
