The East Lancashire Railway held its Autumn Diesel Gala over the weekend of 13th-15th September 2024. A visit on 14th September noted Class 26 26007 pilotting resident Class 24 No. D5054 Phil Southern (substituting for failed Class 25/3 No. 25278) calling at Irwell Vale while working the 09:10 Bury Bolton St - Rawtenstall service.
