The Branch Line Society partnered with Drax to help celebrate 50 years of power generation and ran the 'Drax 50 Years 1974-2024' charters on 18th August 2024. Here, Team Blue GBRF Class 66/3 No. 66312 and Class 66/7 No. 66724 'Drax Power Station' depart Sudforth Lane Down heading the final section of the return leg of the 12:59 Wakefield Westgate to Wakefield Westgate Charter service. GBRF Class 69 No. 69011 was on the rear of the train.
