On the 25th May 2024, WCRC Class 57 No. 57601 'Windsor Castle', approaches St. Nicholas Bridge, Carlisle, at the head of 'The Settle and Carlisle Steam Special', a Northern Belle charter from Darlington to Carlisle, via the ECML and the Tyne Valley. WCRC Class 47 No. 47812 was at the rear of this train.
