On 4th October 2024, a pair of DRS Class 66/4s, with No. 66430 leading and classmate No. 66426 at the rear, pass through Langwathby with the north west RHTT, which leaves Carlisle Kingmoor at 11.30 and will not return to Carlisle Kingmoor until 07.37 the next day, having visited the West Cumbrian Coast, the S&C, Preston, Lancaster, the line to Ulverston and Barrow in Furness, the Windermere branch and finally returning to Carlisle up the WCML.
