At the start of the RHTT season on 1st October 2023, DRS Class 68, No. 68033 'The Poppy' leads an RHTT visiting lines in the north west, including the S&C and the WCML. The train left Carlisle Kingmoor 48 minutes late at 12.22 and passes Oughterside near Aspatria on the first leg of its journey down the Cumbrian Coast to Whitehaven, where the train will reverse.
Class 88 No. 88010 'Aurora' is at the rear of this train.
