On 19th August 2023, Avanti West Coast Class 221 No. 221110 approaches Chester with the 08:49 service from Holyhead to Crewe. Part of the viaduct which crosses the River Dee and is adjacent to Chester race course can be glimpsed through the foliage in the distance.
